Two Things, Completely Unrelated

Prepare yourselves for the awesomeness of the world’s first CATcerto. In 2009 Nora the Piano Cat was accompanied by the Klaipeda Chamber Orchestra, led by Lithuanian composer and conductor Mindaugas Piecaitis. Nora’s piano solo was projected onto a large screen above the orchestra, who accompanied her creating a one-of-a-kind feline-human concerto CATcerto.

Of course, it doesn't hurt that she looks exactly like my cat.  And I'm sure that if I had a piano, Mugen would be equally talented!

and then there's....
Scott London photographed this awesome Anglerfish art car at Burning Man in 2011.

Both the cat and the Anglerfish car are from Archie Mc Phee's Endless Geyser of Awesome.  And just for comparison:

This is a real Anglerfish, and below is a video of the same one in the wild.

Dr. Bruce Robison of MBARI described the anglerfish as being “among the most rarely seen of all deep-sea fishes,” and said the accompanying video contains what’s believed to be the first-ever footage of a live anglerfish in its deep-sea habitat.  From: griffins guide

Anglerfish are cool looking so lots of people do art of them.  Below is one of blown glass.

Sacred Angler Fish. A collaboration between Buck Glass and WJC Glass. Made in 2014. The signature Buck Fish houses a tripledouble perc. The entire fish is made of hand coiled ‘lemon drop’ glass and elaborately decorated with WJC’s hand drawn disc flips. Photos thanks to Glass Otaku.See more pictures of it HERE.

And of course, there was Pixar's Anglerfish from "Finding Nemo."

Oh, and yes, my new grass is still springing up with wild abandon.  See:
