Geraniums - Common for a Very Good Reason

Though some turn up their noses in haughty disdain, the humble geranium is a delight to keep, and brings a beautiful splash of low-maintenance color to just about any yard.

I have one plant that I have enjoyed since 2006.  It is said that if well cared for they can live up to 40 years.

My "Grand Old Lady"

Readily available, proliferate bloomers, and often quite inexpensive, only a snob would fail to consider them.  I personally am partial to the plain, red ones, but just look at the varieties available...

The simpler ones bring an old world charm...

Even my cat approves. He keeps company with roses, geraniums and cacti.
