Albino Lobsters and Great Big Lobsters

The Department of Extraordinary Lobsters is thrilled to share the news of the recent discovery of an incredibly rare albino lobster. Also known as ghost lobsters, these pale crustaceans are among the rarest creatures on earth, estimated to appear once in every 100 million lobsters.

This one was discovered by lifelong fisherman Eugene Richard off the coast of New Brunswick, Canada. Although Richard was initially so surprised by the ghost lobster that he thought it might be a toy, as soon as he recognized that it was alive, he contacted the New Brunswick Aquarium, who were happy to offer the extraordinary animal a safe new home.

Another albino lobster was caught in 2012...

And lobsters get really big sometimes...

 But maybe not this big.
