Scrappy's Vitiligo

Back in 1997, a man bought a black kitty. His owner recalls the moment he met the cat: “Scrappy was sitting on his own and, though he was cute, we didn`t think others would regard him to be as cute as his siblings. I made the decision to take Scrappy as I knew he would be the last one to be taken, if at all,” the owner told MeowBox.

The cat’s coat started getting white when he was 7-years-old. Most likely, this is due to vitiligo, a skin condition that is extremely rare in cats. This doesn’t affect the kitty’s health in any way, and the 19-year-old senior cat is happy, healthy, and totally kicks ass! Yup, that’s where his name comes from: “Despite his age, he [picks scraps] with the neighborhood cats… I guess you could say that he rules the street.”
