Ramen is already awesomely delicious, but Singapore-based artist Cynthia Delaney Suwito’s Knitting Noodles project elevates delicious noodles into edible art. She took an “instant” food and put it to use in a way that requires she be patient and careful, which in turn urges the viewer to slow down as they watch the methodical noodle knitting process:
Well, if you got it, knit it, 'cause it's really, really bad for you, as I explained in an earlier post. I haven't eaten ramen in years, even though I consider Ichi Ban to be heaven in a bowl. Two bowls a week is enough to undermine all those salads, steamed veggies and other stuff that health nuts eat. So knit yourself a Top Ramen pencil-pot. It's very zen.
