Buggin' with Hiroshi Shinno

from: Archie McPhee's Endless Geyser of Awesome

Exquisitely detailed fantasy insects created by Japanese artist Hiroshi Shinno. Although completely imaginary, these hyperrealistic sculptures, their bodies made of hand-painted resin leaves, fronds, and flower petals, look like they might spring to life at any moment.

Visit Shinno’s Insect Diary to check out the original sketches for his awesome insect sculptures. To see even more of his artwork follow Shinno right here on Tumblr at @hiroshishinno.
